Korea's largest textile and fashion exhibition, 'Preview in SEOUL 2025 (PIS)', hosted by the Korea Federation of Textile Industries (Chairman Choi Byung-oh), will open today, August 20th, at COEX and run for three days until the 22nd.

This exhibition consists of a total of 515 companies and 835 booths, with 276 domestic companies and 239 companies from 10 countries including China, Japan, and Taiwan participating, further strengthening its status as a global exhibition.

PIS 2025 is based on the concept of 'LOOP, another world dreaming of a new recovery,' and contains the meaning of creating a new world through the combination of technology, environment, past and present.

The opening ceremony was attended by approximately 100 guests, including Lee Won-Joo, Director General of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy; Lee Jun-hyung, Director General of the Seoul Metropolitan Government; CEOs of the textile and fashion industry; and heads of associations. The special performance, "Line," featuring fabrics from participating companies' Archive Motion and incorporating traditional Korean aesthetics, marked the grand opening with a spectacular performance.
The exhibition hall will be decorated with special halls such as booths for each participating company and a joint hall, two trend forum halls, 'Essence' and 'Taste', which contain the key materials of the new season, 'Salon de PIS', which showcases premium materials, and 'TechSphere', which combines textiles and cutting-edge technology.
High-performance, eco-friendly, recyclable, biodegradable materials, industrial and medical smart fibers, and AI-based fashion tech are being introduced.
In particular, this exhibition will showcase cutting-edge products such as high-functionality, eco-friendly, recyclable, and biodegradable materials, as well as industrial and medical smart textiles and AI-based fashion tech.

The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Businesses invited approximately 230 buyers from major premium brands and global retailers to facilitate intensive business matching. The newly introduced Business Matching System (BMS) this year has significantly increased the number of pre-matching consultations.
A large number of buyers from popular overseas brands will visit, and a global forum, professional seminar, pitching stage, and Techsphere docent tour will be held simultaneously.
A large number of buyers from popular overseas brands, including Bottega Veneta, Vaude, Nike, On Running, MANGO, ODLO, Arc'teryx, Patagonia, Stussy, and Lululemon, are expected to visit.
This year, various side events were planned, including two global forums, 17 professional seminars, 18 pitching stages, and six Techsphere docent tours. Furthermore, the index function for companies participating in PIS for more than 10 consecutive years (27 companies in the 10+ Club), eco-certified companies (152 companies), and domestic textile product certification companies (11 companies) was strengthened. Furthermore, support for participating companies was significantly enhanced with the establishment of new programs such as the domestic textile product certification ceremony (6 companies), digital lookbook awards (3 companies), and awards for outstanding participants (5 companies).
